About the Author
Aaron Baker is the winner of the 2007 Katharine Bakeless Nason Prize for poetry, selected by Stanley Plumly and awarded by Middlebury College and the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow, Baker
received his MFA at the University of Virginia. His work has been previously
published in the Virginia Quarterly Review, Prairie Schooner, Post Road, and
Poetry, among other publications. He lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, and
teaches at Hollins University.

Information Overload

I had to buy this item for a class, but I have not found the book to be very user friendly. While it has a great deal of information, that info is all run-together without clear definition, explanation, and examples.

Required for a class, wish it wasn't.

This book is very expensive, plain and simple. Unfortunately, if you are here, looking at this textbook, it is likely the textbook for your class... Yes, it is absolutely required. You'll be reading from it and making references to it regularly. It is an expensive investment in getting a grade above an F in the class.
The text itself: mostly useless. Better textbooks out there that give the same info in a more tasteful and useful manner.
