This is an excellent, expert, up-to-date, comprehensive, well-researched, and even-handed treatment of the subject matter. Decades of expertise must have gone into the authors' research. On a 10-point scale, this book gets a 10. I am also an author. My field is the Sociology of Law, particularly Max Weber's rule of law. (Legitimation of Social Rights and the Western Welfare State, K. Good but not great

This book is a good but not great item. The book is not formed in any type of chronological order. It often jumps around from topic to topic, From 1970- 2001- 1992. It is very difficult to find the information that you are looking for. I needed this book for class. I wish Strayer would choose another but that is why I am not the boss. Seller got it to me in great condition and in a timely manner.
